a16z Generation Design (Gen.D) is a mentorship program for college design students to connect with design professionals from leading tech companies and agencies. Students will be able to ask mentors about their journey becoming a designer, what they’ve learned, and overall what it is like to work as a designer in the tech field. Mentors will also be available to provide feedback on design portfolios and help prepare students for upcoming design interviews.
The program will run from mid-January to June 2019 with the expectation that students and mentors connect frequently during that timeframe. Applications are open from September 1st - November 1st, 2018. Students accepted into the program will be introduced to a design mentor in mid-January 2019.
